The Physical Therapist in Eldercare is a specialist in assisting and rehabilitating problems that arise during aging.
Elder care / Geriatric physical therapy
As we get older, moving around can sometimes become more difficult. However, getting enough exercise is vital for maintaining all kinds of bodily functions. A physiotherapist specializing in geriatric care can help you reduce the effects of aging.
Why Physical Therapy in Aging?
The Geriatric Physical Therapist ensures that elderly people can age as vitally as possible. Do you have problems with daily activities such as walking, getting up from a chair, or climbing stairs? Are you afraid of falling, or have you even fallen recently? Do you experience limitations after a stroke, with dementia, osteoporosis, or other health conditions to aging? Then the Geriatric Physical Therapist is the right physical therapist for you.
Research and treatment
Through an extensive personal consultation and functional testing, we will determine how the Geriatric Physical Therapist can help you. A personalized treatment plan will then be drawn up.
Through training and active exercise therapy, you will improve your muscle strength, balance, and walking pattern, with a focus on regaining mobility and independence. Or you will learn to cope with the loss of these abilities. In addition, family members and any informal caregivers will receive advice and guidance.
