Recovery after Covid-19
The coronavirus has had a significant impact on our lives in recent years. Many people have now experienced an infection with the COVID virus. And while a large part of this group fully recovers in a short time, there is also a significant group of people for whom this recovery is less smooth. Here it appears to make no difference whether you were seriously ill or had only mild symptoms during the infection. In both groups we see people who still have symptoms long after they had corona.

There is a significant group of people in whom recovery after experiencing Covid-19 is not so smooth. Here it does not seem to matter whether you were seriously ill, or had only mild symptoms during the infection. In both groups we see people who still experience symptoms such as loss of condition, shortness of breath, loss of strength or fear. This can hinder you in everyday activities such as household chores, as well as during work or sports.
Research and treatment
Upon referral, a 6-month course of up to 50 physical therapy treatments is initiated.
Therapy may include breathing exercises, strength and conditioning training and/or advice and guidance on resuming work and sports activities.
During the first consultation your complaints are discussed and together we map out where you experience limitations. We also determine the final goal: what would you like to be able to do (better). In addition, we take a number of measurements so that we can follow your progress during the treatment period.
In some cases, a 2nd course may follow for another 6 months with up to 50 treatments.
Cost
Restorative care after Covid-19 is reimbursed from the basic package (deductible is used here (first) under certain conditions until 1-1-2025.)
